Anthony Richard Quintana born July 2, 1955, in Ogden, UT to Patricio P. & Maria Lemos-Quintana has passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a courageous five year battle with Multiple Myeloma, at the age of 68. He attended Ogden’s City School District Ben Lomond High School. He met the love of his life, Patricia Jean Speer and married her on May 25, 1974. Together they had four beautiful, loving children. He was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

In his early career he fought forest fires along with some of his best friends. Anthony retired from Utah Transit Authority after 37 years. His accomplishments included the 3 Million Miles Accident Free Award, Employee of the Year (1990), amongst many other awards. He made many long time friends through his work and made a point to greet and engage everyone he encountered. His ability to bring joy and happiness to those around him was truly remarkable.

Anthony enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, listening to music, and the outdoors. He was renowned for his radio call-in skills, winning MANY contests including concert tickets, cash prizes, vacations, etc. To his friends, he was known as “Anch the Baptist” for the humorous nicknames he created for everyone. He had a warm and inviting personality that drew people towards him. His caring nature and genuine interest in others made him someone that everyone enjoyed being around. He was notorious for his one-liners and quick-witted sense of humor. To his family, he was the Patriarch who they looked to for his love and guidance.
