Scott Philip Tarran

Dec 14, 2023

Scott Philip Tarran, son of Philip and Ellen Jenkins Tarran, was born on July 10, 1961. His adventurous spirit was evident from an early age. He loved teasing his siblings and his witty remarks often brought smiles to those around him. For several years, Scott lived in Salt Lake City, and has been a long time resident of Ogden.

Scott was a man of many talents. He loved horses and when he was 16 years of age, he entered the 30-mile endurance race at Hard Ware Ranch in the Cache Valley mountains. He and his horse, Sheik completed the 30 mile race in 3 hours and 19 minutes. After graduating from Weber High School, he attended the International Air Academy in Vancouver, Washington. After completing his training, he worked for several airlines and finished his career with Continental Air Lines. He loved working at the airport. His passion for computers was equal to his love for fast cars, target shooting, and guns. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Scott is survived by his loving mother, Ellen Tarran, his sister, Ann Sawley, and his brother, Rex Tarran. He was preceded in death by his father, Philip Tarran.
