He completed the Deseret News Marathon and was an avid runner well into his 70s. Clark married Paula Alma Wade on October 2, 1972 in the Logan Utah Temple in Logan, Utah. Together they had seven children Adam, Sarah, Joshua, Matthew, Nathanael, Thomas, and Deborah and 17 grandchildren. Clark and Paula divorced later. Clark lived in Joshua Tree, California, his home for many years. He loved the California high desert and the Joshua Trees. He was a member of the Yucca Mesa Ward in the Yucca Valley California Stake.
