Ashley Garrard Kabir
1985 – 2022
We lost our precious wife and daughter, Ashley Rose Garrard Kabir, to leukemia on December 30, 2022. She is 37 years old. She was a fighter, though you would never know it from her sweet face and disposition. We prayed and prayed for a miracle, but realized we received our miracle 6 years ago when her cancer went into remission, giving us 6 precious extra years with her. She loved her husband, Shahriar, who never left her side. She loved cats, especially her cats Fozzie and Bob. She loved I Love Lucy, the color pink, and The Golden Girls. She loved her job at Orem Family Pharmacy, especially the wonderful people she worked with. Our family is so thankful for them and for all her friends, family, and amazing neighbors.
Ashley was born on September 5, 1985 in Redlands, CA. She is survived by her husband, Shahriar Kabir (Provo), parents John and Mari Garrard (West Point), sisters Rachel Heard (North Salt Lake), Rochelle Tipton (Steven, Roy), Stephanie Talcott (Houston, TX), brothers Adam Garrard (Tina, Newport, OR), Chris Garrard (Twin Falls, ID), and many aunts, uncles, and cousins she loved dearly.
A graveside service was held on January 3, 2023 in Sandy, UT. A celebration of Ashley’s life will be held at a later date.
