Bob was born on October 21, 1940 in Denver Colorado to June Irene Eames Wilson, she passed away when he was just an infant. As a child, he was raised by her loving family. When he grew older, he lived with his Grandmother Eames. Bob graduated from Weber High School in 1958. In 1959 he met Louise (Weezie) Brown and they married on February 18, 1960.

Bob was very active in drag racing and car shows. He worked at the old Bonneville Raceway in SLC where he was the starter and then became the track manager. He also worked on the starting line at several NHRA races with Buster Couch. Bob was the Utah National Street Rod Association Rep. for several years. He was co-editor of Mountain West Street News since it began 44 years ago. Bob was also a member of the Utah Hot Rod Hall of Fame. He was a life-long member of the Stags Car Club and also a member of Wasatch Rods & Customs. He worked in civil service most of his life, at DDO and retired from HAFB.

He was a member of the LDS church.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Louise (Weezie), his sister, Dena Serio. He is also survived by two sons, Robert (Bobby) (Debbie) Eames, Michael (Rachael) Eames, one Daughter & Son-in-Law, Barbara Valentine, Allen Whittle, one grandson, Nicolas Valentine, two granddaughters, Megan Eames, Madison Valentine. Another part of his family was the Beck family, Royce, Tracy, Hudson, Bentley, Nash and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing for Bob will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W., in Roy from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at the Clinton City Cemetery, 800 N. 750 W. at 11:00 a.m.
