Slade Eric Speechly

1975 — 2023

OGDEN-Slade Eric Speechly 47, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023. Slade was born June 17, 1975, to Steven S. and Diana Halverson Speechly. He grew up in the hills of the Uintah Highlands where he spent his childhood biking, building forts, and hanging out until dark with his cherished neighborhood buddies.

Slade was an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Bonneville High School in 1993 and from WSU with a degree in Technical Sales. He held several great sales positions throughout Northern Utah.

Slade’s passions were hitting the powder at Snow Basin on his snowboard, fishing, cars, motorcycles, and collecting baseball cards. He was an avid Red Sox fan and “foodie.” We will all miss his sense of humor and hilarious impersonations.

Slade is survived by his parents, his sister, Maren Burnside; her children, Brock Burnside and Bailey Burnside (Jaden Teague); and the love of his life, Holly Frazier. Slade had a very special place in his heart for “The Boys”, Connor, Will, and Joe.

As per Slade’s wishes, there will not be any services. His cremains will be spread above Snow Basin at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
