Virginia Wells

Virginia Wells 84, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2023 surrounded by those that loved her. She was born on June 25, 1938 in Ogden Utah, the daughter of Lester Arvel and June Passey Sorensen. She graduated from Ogden High School and then attended Weber College.

She married Bryson Eli Yearsley, together they had 4 children: Kirk, Nannette, Eric and John. They later divorced and she married Jerry Wells. For the past 20 years, Grandma really enjoyed her friendships and activities at the Union Gardens Apartments.

Grandma Virginia had a very warm and outgoing personality. She loved people and made friends easily. She enjoyed cooking, camping, boating, Wendover trips, shopping at the DI, football, and soaking up the sun especially by a pool. Always full of surprises. She loved to give surprises, you never knew what random surprise she meticulously picked for you, sometimes making you laugh and always a reasoning behind it. She loved gold and wanted everything she had to be gold; because of this she truly mastered the skill of spray painting quite well. She had a love for cats most recently losing her favorite cat Cutie Pie.

Grandma Virginia is survived by her daughter Nannette Earl, grandchildren Ashley Paul (Adam), Dalton Rosenberg, Drew Rosenberg (Jessica), Ciara Raney (J.R); many more grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by both parents, sister Barbara, sons Kirk, John and Eric Yearsley.

She made an impact on many lives. She will be remembered for her giving nature, always caring for others more than herself. A loving and wonderful woman until the very end, she will be greatly missed. A graveside service will be held on June 8, 2023 at 12pm. Ogden City Cemetery 1875 Monroe Blvd.
