October 11, 1945 — June 1, 2023 (age 77)

Allen Paul Brooks, 77, of Ogden passed away peacefully in his home on June 1, 2023. He was born on October 11, 1945 in Ogden, Utah to DelMonte and Catherine (Mullen) Brooks. He married the love of his life, Paula Blain on January 16, 1970 in the Salt Lake, Utah LDS temple.

He graduated from Ogden High School in 1964. He went on a work mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the southern states. Upon returning he served his country in the U.S. Navy in Italy. He graduated from Weber State College in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree. He then later worked at Hill Air Force Base both as a civilian and a reservist. Following his retirements there he worked at Macey’s grocery store in Ogden for a time.

Allen was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many different capacities and callings in his ward, most recently on a senior mission in their stake in Ogden with his beloved wife, Paula.

Allen possessed a passion for life that was evident in everything he pursued. As a devoted family man, he cherished his role as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His love knew no bounds, and he was always there to lend a helping hand or offer a shoulder to lean on. His ability to offer help and support during times of need will forever be treasured by those he held dear. Allen’s dedication to his loved ones was unwavering, and his presence will be deeply missed at every family gathering and milestone.

As we mourn the loss of Allen, we find solace in the cherished memories he leaves behind. His legacy will forever be engraved in our hearts. Though he may no longer be with us physically, his spirit will continue to guide and watch over us.
