Alex Chase Lopez

2000 — 2023

Alex Chase Lopez born in Idaho Falls on April 24, 2000 tragically lost his life on June 13, 2023. After being shot 4 times by the Ogden Police.

Words cannot express the pain we feel. Chase was a beloved son of Juan Lopez and Shawna Dillingham Lopez and brother of six siblings. Dameon Lopez, Andrew Lopez, Sheldon Lopez, Corbin Dillingham, Devin Lopez Dillingham, Brayden Lopez Dillingham and one sister Breyanna Dillingham.

Chase was a perfectionist at all he did whether it was getting straight A’s and being a team leader at his current job at Rubicon in Ogden or getting into trouble. He lived life in the fast lane and had big dreams for himself, and his family, that he loved with all his heart but no matter how hard he tried he ultimately lost his life to the other kind of life he was addicted to.

Chase was preceded in death by his grandparents Ramona and Rafael Lopez.

Chase graduated in 2020 from Garfield County School District with straight A’s.

Family was very important to him, and he was always making sure that his family was taken care of and respected.

Words can’t express the love we had for him and how much he will be missed by so many but we realize he is in a far better place and is safe now.

We would like to thank all who cared for and loved him and give special thanks to Candice Lee and Naveah Gomez for loving him unconditionally.

We love you so much and can’t wait to be with you again on the other side. Rest easy my beautiful boy!

Funeral will be held this weekend for all that I would like to attend. Please contact family for information.

Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.
