They were proud to become American citizens and loved the United States.

Veve was a devoted homemaker her whole life who loved hosting and cooking endless amounts of food for her guests and her family. She was a proud mother and grandmother and was known to many as “Yiya”, which is grandmother in Greek.

She was a faithful member of the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church and known for her fun personality during the annual Greek Food Festival, which she was a dedicated volunteer for over 30 years.

Veve will be remembered for her pride in her Greek heritage, her amazing food, but mostly her love and devotion to her family.

Veve is survived by her son, Tom G. Chournos of Ogden; grandsons, Kosta of Ogden and Stormy of Seattle, WA; and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gus; and sons, Pete and Chris.
