Austin Battisti
2005 — 2023
Our world was completely shattered with the passing of our sweet boy, Austin Joseph Battisti, who passed away far too early on June 25, 2023. Austin was born to Steven Daniel Battisti and Jennifer Voigt Battisti on December 28, 2005. He deeply loved his sister, Madison Marie, and brother, Hudson Daniel. He would have been a senior at Fremont High School, was attending the welding program at the Ogden-Weber Technical College and worked for Quail Meadow Assisted Living.
He fiercely loved his family and friends. His friends meant the world to him. He will be immensely missed by all who knew him. Austin had the kindest heart and was always willing to help wherever he was needed. He was always being a goofball and making everyone laugh. Friends describe him as “comedic relief” and “the life of the party”. He loved driving with his music loud, fishing with his grandpa and friends, completing his welding goals, his favorite hats, and Mt Dew. He also loved his phone, snap chatting videos to make his friends laugh and staying up too late playing his Xbox. He had the biggest heart when it came to animals, especially his dogs.
Austin was proceeded in death by his uncle Shane Voigt and survived by his parents, siblings, and grandparents Joseph and Julie Voigt, Michael and Janet Battisti and Jean Ann Keene. As well as multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins.
We truly feel the love and support of our family, friends, and community during this difficult time. Words cannot express how much we appreciate all the kindness, thoughts, and prayers. Our hearts are filled with gratitude. We would like to give special thanks to Lt. Mark Horton and the team with Weber County Search and Rescue, DWR, all first responders, Corporal Jose Leon and volunteers. Also, Deputy Brandon McAfee, whose compassion was overwhelming, staying close enough when we needed, but distant enough to give us space while we processed. His professionalism was unwavering and his protection of us as parents was felt deeply and will never be forgotten. We would also like to thank Austin’s friends and families who remained with us through the night.
A memorial account has been set up at America First Credit Union in Austin’s name to help relieve some financial burden. Savings account #9127101. You can make a deposit at any branch or direct transfer if you are a member.
