Logan — Janene Renee Booth passed away May 2nd, 2023 in Logan, Utah. She was born January 9th, 1960 to her parents Edwin Jerald and Rose Mary Booth in Fremont, Nebraska. In grade school and junior high, Janene played the clarinet and was later involved in high school track. She also worked in the ever present cornfields, detasseling corn. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1978. The summer of 1979 Janene moved to Pocatello, Idaho to live with her sister, Vee, and brother-in-law, Brent. In the early 80’s, Janene moved to Ogden, Utah, and attended Weber State for three years. She worked for the IRS in Ogden for twenty years. Janene was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and received her endowment in the Salt Lake Temple. Her greatest desire was to be a wife and mother but it was not to be in this life. She was a 10 year survivor of breast cancer, but cancer raised its ugly head again in 2022 and she fought valiantly. On April 14, 2023, Janene became a resident of Sunshine Terrace in Logan, Utah, until her death. She is survived by her sister Vee (Brent) Hale of Logan, Utah; niece Annalyn (Douglas) Oberholtzer, and nephews Aaron Hale, Keith Hale, Derek (Tristina) Hale, and their children Corbin, Dallas and Scott (Elizabeth) Hale and their sons Elijah, Landon, Liam, and Micah. The family wishes to give many thanks to the staff at Sunshine Terrace. They have been knowledgeable, attentive, and compassionate in their care of Janene.
