May 19, 2023

1932 — 2023

Emma M. Kintz was born April 12, 1932 and passed away peacefully April 24, 2023 at her home in Layton, Utah. Emma was born in Munich, Germany to her parents Johann and Rosina Albertshofer. She married, came to America and later divorced. She raised 4 children on her own and worked at Tom Winegar’s grocery store for 30 years before she retired. Loved by so many, she made friends wherever she went. She practiced kindness and generosity by giving to others in need, which was one of the many wonderful traits she had. Her generosity was unsurpassed as she gave her children and grandchildren everything she could. She enjoyed scenic car rides to the mountains as they reminded her of her homeland. Her tenacity and drive got her through a not so easy life, and we learned from her that hard work and prayer are very important. Her funny sense of humor made us all laugh, and her wonderful personality shined through to everyone she met.

Emma is proceeded in death by her parents; her older sister Elfie Baringer and her son Thomas Robert Kintz. She is survived by her son John Kintz; her daughter Karen (Justin) Butler and her son Eric (Sandy) Kintz and grandchildren Connor Kintz and Marissa Kintz.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Provident Funeral Home, 3800 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah. Prior to the memorial service, guests may meet with family from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
