Darlene Lythgoe Lindley

Darlene Lythgoe Lindley, 82, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023. She was born on October 14, 1940 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Howard Wayment and Verla Jonas Andersen Lythgoe.

She married Dean Brown Lindley on December 9, 1955 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later sealed in the LDS Temple in 1963. Dean passed away on November 26, 2013.

Darlene worked as a secretary treasurer for Ogden Wonder Federal Credit Union, but most importantly she was a very caring and loving wife and mother.

She enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. She also enjoyed crocheting, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Darlene was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as the ward organist for many years. She loved her heritage and was a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers and a member of the Lewis and Clark Volunteers.

Darlene is survived by her survived by her two sons, Robert (Maggie) Lindley and Richard "Sam" (Ralene) Lindley; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sister, Diane Bills; and brother, Joe (Julie) Lythgoe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Lindley; son, Wayne Lindey; parents; and sister, Amelia.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
