Irene Gloria Salazar

Irene Gloria Salazar, 72, passed away November 9, 2023, at her home with family. Irene was born May 8, 1951, in Ogden, Utah to Mary Jesusita Trueba and Frank Gilbert Madrigal.

Irene held a strong faith in God. She had so much pride in her family and cherished spending time with them. Her grandkids brought her so much joy. She loved cooking, dancing, creating, shopping, yard work, gardening, camping, collecting rocks, and making jewelry. She loved hosting family dinners. Irene was the hardest worker and was so excited when she retired. She took off to travel with her honey, Jake, as much as possible. She had the purest heart and loved and helped everyone.

Irene is survived by her husband, Jake A. Salazar, daughters Lacy Hughes, Priscilla Clayton and Davie Sorrells, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Buffy, Aunt Annabell and her mother and father.

Irene loved to help and her wish for when she was gone was to still help others. She would be happy with a donation made in her honor to Glioblastomafoundation.org.

A private Memorial Service will be held in her honor with close family.
