Patricia Leaverton

December 31, 1951 — November 15, 2023

Harrisville — Patricia “Patty” (Hoebing) Leaverton was born in Galesburg, Illinois. She was a studious and introspective child, fond of books and time alone. As a teenager in the 60’s she was playful but proper. And as an adult she was a consummate domestic goddess, raising three children through a whirlwind Army life that took the family to both coasts, Europe, and Hawaii. In her elderly years, Patty collected beautiful things. She filled her house with porcelain dolls and stuffed animals and owls and fairies. She loved to read, and her favorite authors were John D. McDonald, Alistair MacLain, and Jeffery Deaver.

Patty passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on November 15th 2023. She was 71 years old.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and residents at Heritage Park Rehabilitation Center, and to the staff at McKay Dee Hospice Services, for all the love, caring, and compassion they’ve all shown Patricia the last few years.
