Rosemarie “Rose” Josephine (Kolbek) Redfearn

Rosemarie “Rose” Josephine (Kolbek) Redfearn born November 24, 1951 passed away on November 17, 2023 at the age of 71 from pancreatic cancer. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones and her pups. Rose was a fighter, she beat breast cancer and continued to fight through COPD.

Rose was born in Eagle River, Wisconsin and later moved to Chicago, Illinois. She took care of her beloved parents, Rosie Agnes Blaha and Charles Kolbek, before moving to Utah.

Rose had seven of her own children and in 1995 met the love of her life Roderick “Rod” W. Redfearn. They married in 1997 and later sealed in the Ogden Temple on June 4, 2005 for all time and eternity creating a blended family of 10 children.

Rose worked for the IRS for over 20 years before she retired. She loved spending time with family and loved ones, laughing until she couldn’t, playing bingo, and attending church and being with church family. Rose served many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, loved the hymns of the spoken word and being involved in cub scouts.

Rose is survived by her husband, “Rod” Roderick Worth Redfearn; children, Rosemarie “Rose” Nagy-O’Donnell (Stephen G. O’Donnell), Ronald John Nagy Jr., Christopher “Chris” Lawerence Svientek, Ben Charles Redfearn, Joshua “Josh” Adam Redfearn, Nicolas “Nick” Joseph Redfearn, Nicole Rose (Redfearn) Glover (Daniel Glover), Brittany Redfearn, Cheritee Beth Redfearn, and Roderick Seth Redfearn; grandchildren, Skylar, Darius, Braxton, Ethan, Mia, Kaysen, Kash, Alana, Emily, William, Wesley, and baby Wade.

Rose was preceded in death by her daughter, Brittany Redfearn; parents, Rosie and Charles Kolbek; sister, Fran Zidarich; and brother, Lawrence Long.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Paradise Acres Ward, 1000 Suncrest Dr., Ogden, UT. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 E. 2850 N., North Ogden, UT.
