Karen Ellen Sorensen Clark, 86, passed away November 29, 2023, in Ogden, Utah. She was born on April 19, 1937, in Preston, Idaho to Roy Ariel Sorensen and Ellen Agatha Monson.

She graduated from Preston High School and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her favorite calling was working in the Church Library. She worked for the Dept. of the Army, Data Processing Division, from 1963 to 1966, then as a secretary for the US Forest Service, retiring in January 1993, with 30 years of service.

Karen married Jack Shaw Clark on August 16, 1957, in Preston, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple, January 17, 1963, they shared 56 wonderful years together.

Karen enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing card games, dice and especially camping. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, crocheting, cake decorating, crossword puzzles, canning, and putting up salsa. She was an avid cat lover and relished the time she had with each of them. To name a few, Panther, Peaches, Weazie, Spanky, Darla, and Babe.

The family would like to acknowledge Taylor, David and Shyla her hospice care providers, and the staff at the Gardens Assisted Living for all the loving care they provided to Karen.

Karen is survived by her children Kathy (Danny) Stokes, Kevin (Chris) Clark, daughter-in-law Cindy Clark, Nathan Clark, and Thane (Ruth) Clark, brother Richard Sorensen, 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack Clark, son Ty Clark, two grandsons Jeffrey and Curtis Clark, sister Pauline Marble, and daughter-in-law Peggy Clark.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Liberty City Cemetery, 3930 N. 3500 E., Liberty, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10 ­ 12 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah.
