Gloria Read

1958 — 2023

With profound sadness, we mourn the passing of Gloria Read, 65, affectionately known to many as “Glo”. Born on September 26, 1958, in Logan, UT. Gloria embraced life with a compassionate and generous spirit. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend who brought joy to everyone around her with her infectious laughter and warm heart.

Gloria’s life was marked by remarkable achievements and accomplishments. She was a dedicated tax examiner with the IRS, where she received numerous accolades. Her incredible work ethic was paralleled only by her unwavering dedication to her family.

Gloria was married to the love of her life, Gary Read, on March 3, 1978. Their love story was one of mutual respect, adoration, and lifelong companionship. Gloria’s legacy lives on through Gary, her sister, Marie (Jay) Bair, their son Danny (Brittny) Shelton, and her nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Robert LaVina Done, brothers, Kevin Done and Michael Done.

The family invites friends and loved ones to remember Gloria at a viewing on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 9-11 am at Myers Mortuary 845 Washington Blvd. Ogden. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 am at Evergreen Memorial Park 100 Monroe Blvd. Ogden.
