Daniel Everett Gordon

Our loving dad, grandpa, husband, brother, son, and friend, Daniel Everett Gordon passed away unexpectedly early Monday morning, October 2, 2023, one day shy of his 64th birthday. Dan was born in Ogden, Utah on October 3, 1959, to Jerald and JoAnn Gordon. As a young child, Dan loved being outdoors with his siblings and friends. Dan was a natural athlete who enjoyed friendly competition and all sports. He played hours of baseball at the neighborhood park. In high school he played football and wrestled. Later, he excelled in mixed martial arts, and became a TaeKwonDo instructor after earning his first-degree black belt.
Dan attended Ben Lomond High School Class of 1978. After high school, he married Annette Gilbery. Together they had three children, they were the light of his life. He was a proud dad and grandpa and enjoyed countless hours attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and performances. In 2004, Dan married Julie Olsen. They took great care of each other during their 20 years together.
Dan had a successful career as a manager in manufacturing. He excelled at mentoring his employees and building strong teams. Following his career, Dan and Julie retired to Mesquite, Nevada where they enjoyed frequent rounds of golf and local poker games with a wonderful community of friends. Dan had a special way of making everyone in his life feel loved and accepted just the way they are.
Dan is survived by his wife, Julie, two daughters, Staci (Paul) Hill, Talya (Mike) Best, son, Daniel (Kristina) Gordon, and nine grandchildren, Mason, Trinity, Carson, Taylor, Hadlee, Jayce, Kaleb, Madden, Ryker and one great granddaughter on the way. He is also survived by his mother, JoAnn Gordon, and siblings, Jerry (Rita), David (Barbara), Dawna, and Sheryl (Gert). He was preceded in death by his father Jerald, brother Bryan, and sister Doris.
Services will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 11:00 am at Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd. Ogden, UT. Followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 pm at Comfort Suites Ogden Conference Center, 2250 S. 1200 W. Ogden, UT.
