Chad L Henderson
Chad L Henderson, 81, of Ogden UT passed away October 7, 2023.
Chad was born February 24, 1942, in Logan Utah to Dean and Melva Henderson but spent most of his life living in Ogden Utah.
He graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1961. After graduation he served an LDS mission in Hawaii and served in the U.S. army reserves. It was while in the service he found his love of cooking. Over the years there weren’t many scouting, ward, or stake events he didn’t cook for hundreds of people. He loved to serve and help his fellow man.
He attended Weber State University but found a trade with the phone company before he finished. He met and married his eternal sweetheart Georgia Jo in 1965 in the Logan UT temple. They went on to have 4 children Scott, Derek, Darin, and Adam.
He held many callings in the LDS church of which his favorite was as president of the special needs in the area. For many years he served in the Boy Scouts of America in various leadership roles. He continued his career at US West Communications training in new technologies, receiving many certificates throughout his career. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his eternal companion Georgia Jo and 3rd son Darin, along with his parents and all but one sibling.
He is survived by his brother Dwight L & Annette Henderson in Washington Terrace and his children Chad Scott & JoJo Henderson in Layton UT. Derek Chad & Becky Henderson in Riverdale UT. Adam Aird & Amanda Henderson in Pocatello ID. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Camden, Angel, Jackson, Ford, Lincoln, Taylor, Royce, Ella and Nixon.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the Mt. Ogden Ward 1314 27th Street, Ogden Utah. Viewings will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 6-8 P.M. at Mt. Ogden Ward and prior to the service at the church from 10-10:45 A.M. Interment will take place at Washington Heights Memorial Park.
