Sharon Elaine Chivers

1938 – 2023

Sharon Elaine Chivers, 85, sadly passed away October 12, 2023, surrounded by her family. Sharon was born August 6, 1938, to Raymond Charles Wilson and Callie Opal Coy in Ogden, UT. Sharon remained an Ogden native her entire life. Sharon attended Ben Lomond High School then graduated cosmetology school as a licensed beautician. Sharon went on to marry Don Bush in 1956. They later divorced. Sharon met and married Jim Chivers April 27, 1970, in Las Vegas, NV. Sharon and Jim had two daughters, Jaymie and Stacee. Sharon opened her business “Sharon’s Beauty Salon” which she owned and operated out of her home for over 50 years. Sharon had a green thumb, she loved to garden flowers, fruits and vegetables. She created her own outdoor oasis around her home. Sharon was a mother to everyone. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren fiercely! We could count on her to be there for us for anything. She was extremely selfless, and she lived her life to serve her family, always. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Bud Wilson, Opal West and Jay Wilson. She is survived by her children Jaymie (Clint) Chivers-Johnson and Stacee Chivers. Her grandchildren Shayleigh Wixom, Jaya Chivers-Crane, Jessa Chivers-Collier and Sunee Johnson. Her great-grandchildren Aizlynn Love and Vaylee Partida.

Sharon’s graveside service will be Tuesday, October 24, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd., Ogden, Utah. A viewing will be Monday, October 23, 2023, 5:00 ­- 7:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah.
