Nancy Garn Warner

Oct 25, 2023

1935 — 2023

Nancy Garn Warner, our beautiful and loving mom, grandma, great grandma and great-great grandma passed away peacefully on Friday, 20 October 2023 at the age of 88 at her home in Layton, Utah.

She was born 9 May 1935, in Fielding Utah. She was the oldest daughter of seven children born to Wayne Harley and Opal Wood Garn. She always felt blessed to have two parents who wanted and loved their children.

Nancy was raised in a loving and hardworking family. One of her favorite things was her dad and mother taking them to Udy Hot Springs to swim. She completed her education at Bear River High School.

She had a very successful career at Hill Air Force Base and retired in 1988.

She married her first love, Harvey J McCulloch, on 30 September 1955 and was later sealed in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints Logan Temple on 22 March 1967. They bought a farm in Clifton, ID in 1958. Harvey had health problems and so they sold the farm and move back to the city. He passed away on 5 September 1975. She had two children with Harvey, Curtis (JoDee) McCulloch and Kaylene (Jon deceased) Moss.

She was blessed to find love a second time when she married Ramon Floid Warner on 6 June 1987 in Clearfield, Utah. She was quickly welcomed and loved by his family. Ramon had five children: Tawnya (Bob) Palmer, Gradon Warner, Jan (Dan E) Balls, Russ (Teresa) Warner and Michele (Greg) Fitzgerald. Ramon passed away on 11 April 2011.

Her greatest joy was her family. She loved being with them and serving them. She was selfless, putting the needs of others before her own. She loved all her children and grandchildren. She never viewed them as stepchildren or in-laws. She would tell everyone she had 13 children (including spouses), 28 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one on the way, and three great-great grandchildren.

She loved the Garn family and was so proud of her brothers and sisters and their families. She would say how blessed she was to be a part of the family. She could share memories for hours.

Friends were also very important to her. She was a loyal and loving friend. She was always doing service for someone. She always liked a funny joke and enjoyed laughing at herself. You could feel her genuine interest in you while sitting and conversing with her.

Nancy was very active! She loved to camp and fish and be out in nature, water ski, square dance, travel to many parts of the world, family history, crochet and quilt. She made over 100 quilts and gave most away to family and friends. Nancy was quite the card shark, everyone knew it. She loved to win and was very competitive!

She also loved her Heavenly Father and loved to serve him. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had various church callings, served a mission with Ramon in Florida, served in the Ogden temple, and was an usher at the Conference Center. She had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and lived her life that way.
