Kathy Forsgren Anderson

Our beautiful, sweet Mom, Kathy Forsgren Anderson, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023, in Ogden, Utah. She was our guiding light and inner strength. We will miss her for the rest of our lives.

She was born March 30, 1945, in Tremonton, Utah to Jack and Twila Forsgren, the eldest of three children and their only daughter. She was raised in Bothwell on the Forsgren family farm.

She was a graduate of Bear River High School class of 1963, and of Hollywood Beauty College in 1964.

She married Micheal Gary Anderson on August 19, 1964, in Ogden, Utah, and they were sealed in the Logan temple in 1971. They made their home in Washington Terrace, Utah, where they had five children. They were later divorced. She never remarried.

Kathy was a licensed beautician and spent many years styling hair in her home studio. She was very fastidious about her appearance and refused to leave the house without having her hair, nails, and makeup looking just so.

She later retired after a long career working for the U.S. Census Bureau, a career for which she was perfectly suited given her love of connecting with people and spending hours engrossed in conversation, either in person or by telephone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Larry Forsgren, and her son Brian Jack Anderson.

She is survived by three daughters; Michele (Roger) Bush, Stacie Harmston, and Jennifer (Erick) Smith, and one son who asked not to be named here. She had eighteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, one of whom, newly born Camden, she was delighted to be able to meet and hold just days before she passed.

She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

There will be a viewing from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at Provident Funeral Home, 3800 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah, with services immediately following. Internment at Valley View Cemetery in Bothwell, Utah.
