Lynette L McCoy-Terkelson
1949 – 2023
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a remarkably talented, creative, and dedicated woman, Lynette McCoy-Terkelson, who left this world on September 16, 2023, wrapped in the love of her family. She was born on February 25, 1949, the second daughter of Jack and Lou London. She was born and raised in Ogden UT, attending Ben Lomond High School.
Her life was not always easy, she was a young mother who struggled to find her soulmate but in March of 1984 she met Kenneth J Terkelson, and they would remain devoted to each other even after his passing in May. Together they lovingly raised Lynette’s 4 living children and enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren when they could.
Lynette was an incredibly talented seamstress, she loved making and giving away unique craft gifts. She could make nearly anything out of nearly anything. She loved to crochet and cross stitch and until a stroke left her paralyzed there was always a craft project within arm’s reach. Her generosity knew no bounds and you could not visit her home without leaving with something, canned goods craft items, and always her love.
She was incredibly proud of her children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments and would talk about them to anyone and everyone who would listen. When she wasn’t bragging about her family, she was telling those who cared for her jokes. She was grateful for and remembered the names of everyone who cared for her, never failing to introduce them to her family. She strived to make those she encountered feel loved and appreciated.
She is survived by her children, Brent, Jack, Ne’Sha, and Bekka (Arlo), her sisters Rosanne, Jackie (Frank), Gaylene (Larry), Jerae, and Launa, 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends who will miss her deeply. She has gone to be with her husband, son (Jeremiah), both parents, 4 nephews, and several other loved ones.
A celebration of Lynette’s life will be held on February 25, 2024, the time and location are to be determined.
