Mary Thelma Constance Griffin Creason Carpenter

Apr 3, 2024

Mary Thelma Constance Griffin Creason Carpenter passed away peacefully on a beautiful Easter Sunday with her sons by her side. Her goal was always to make it to her 100th birthday. She almost made it too! Her formal name was Mary, but she was known to friends as Thelma. Thelma was born November 19, 1925 in Providence, Rhode Island.

Thelma married Homer Lee Carpenter. They had four sons and one daughter. She would do anything for her children. She loved them dearly. Family meant everything to Thelma.

Thelma not only worked raising her children, but worked for the military for ten years. Among many of her many talents were serving others, being a seamstress, making clothing for her children, cooking, traveling the world and giving to others who were less fortunate.

She is survived by Jimmy R. Creason (Jan) and Jay S. Carpenter, (Kris). She has seven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by Delila, (daughter), Joel and Jesse, (sons), parents and one sister. We are sure she is having a grand reunion with all those that she has loved. Until we meet again.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Evergreen Memorial Park located at 100 N Monroe Blvd, Ogden, Utah.
