She was the sixth of seven siblings. She attended school in Ogden, Utah and graduated from Ogden High School. In 1958 she met Carmen E. Carmelo and in 1959 they were married at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. On September 5, 2017, Carmen and Teresa celebrated 58 years of marriage. Together they raised two sons, David P. Teresa was active in the Roman Catholic Church. She taught baptism classes at Saint Joseph’s church for twenty-five years. She was also a master catechist and taught religion classes for several years before retiring and then volunteering in the catechism office. Teresa was also an administrator of communion. Teresa was honored by Saint Joseph’s church by being named Women of the Year at the annual convention in 2009.

Teresa enjoyed arts and crafts and created many ceramic items for every holiday of the year. She loved to decorate her house with everything she created, and you always knew what holiday it was when you walked into her house.

Teresa enjoyed traveling and experiencing new adventures. In January 2020, she went on a lifelong dream trip to Israel and the holy lands with her church. On her 85th birthday, Teresa and her son Anthony went to the Bahamas and loved every minute on the vacation island.

She is survived by her two sons, her sister Toni Gabaldon, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and three sisters.
