Morris Lyle Bryan Jr.

Morris Lyle Bryan Jr. age 74, passed into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on April 13, 2024 after a life long battle with health issues related to injuries obtained in the Vietnam conflict where he served as a Marine.

Lyle was the son of Morris Lyle Bryan and Alice Bryan Brimhall, and the step son of Richard Kay Brimhall. He was born on January 1, 1950. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He married the love of his life, Judy Lynn Buckway in the Manti LDS Temple on August 6, 1971. They later divorced.

Lyle had a heart of gold and was eager to help others. Earlier in his life he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and driving his convertible T-bird. He loved fishing at Tony’s Grove and going to Rendezvous. He coached Baseball and collected baseball cards. He loved hanging out and watching movies with his best friend Ray. He was so excited when his daughter Cher, husband Ron and his three grandchildren Emma, Sarah, and Jacob would travel from Missouri to visit him. He loved Christmas time and visiting with his sister, nieces and his friend Lona. He loved his dog Shadow and cat Princess who were great companions for him.

As Lyle’s health declined he required nursing care in his home and finally was moved to the George Wahlen VA home. He quickly developed friendships with several nurses. He was a favorite resident to many. He never looked at himself as being heroic but he was indeed a Hero and served this country well! He was loved by many and will be greatly missed!

He is survived by his daughter Cherratie Lynn Burchett (Ron), His three grandchildren, his siblings Tanya Christiansen, and Rae England, his nieces Britanie, Holly, Stephanie, Jennifer and Kaydee and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, step Father, Grandparents, his brother in law, one niece and two nephews. Viewing will be held from 2-3 pm on Saturday April 20, 2024 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah A graveside will follow at the same location.

As a family we would like to express our appreciation and gratitude to the staff at the George Wahlen VA home and to Bristol Hospice for the professional and tender care they gave Lyle.
