Mary Lee Thomas

1954 – 2024

Mary Lee Thomas died on 22 April 2024 in Ogden, Utah. She was born on 22 February 1954 to C.J. and Karyl Holtkamp in Houston, Texas.

Mary grew up in Houston, Provo, and San Angelo, Texas. She met her husband, Kenneth, while he was training at the air base in San Angelo. They were stationed in Maryland and Japan. After his discharge, they moved to Logan, Payson, and Ogden. They lived overseas for 30 years while working for the Department of Defense Dependents Schools. They retired to Ogden.

Mary loved to sew and quilt. She was active in the Quilt Guild and the Sewing Guild. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Thomas, two sons and their wives Matthew & Samantha and Andrew & Cameo; 4 grandchildren; Xander, Jackson, Drew and Henry; her brother, Kenneth Holtkamp, her sisters, Lorraine Braun, Susan Holtkamp, Debbie Boulter, Julie Simmons, and Beverly Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James Holtkamp.

She will be buried in the Ogden City Cemetery following a private family service.
