Ross Chesley Bennett, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Apr 23, 2024, at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. He was born Aug 22, 1940, in Brigham City and was a 50-year resident of Roy.

Born and raised in Brigham City, Ross graduated from Box Elder High School. He enjoyed working with his hands, working most of his life in the field of construction, becoming a General Contractor before retiring. In his younger years, he was an avid photographer and talented sketch artist. Ross was an outdoorsman who loved camping, hunting, fly fishing and was a skilled ax thrower. He also made delicious strawberry jam. He loved his mountain property and all the joy and fond memories it brought him and others.

Ross married long time love, Jenann, in 1998 spending many happy and fulfilling years. Together they hosted an annual family reunion for nearly 30 years. Ross loved his family equally, whether born or married into it, and did not fail to show it. When he said I love you it was felt. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

He is preceded in death by parents Ova Bennett and Naomi (Bowden) Bennett, daughter Jill, brothers Richard and Larry, sister Karen (Bennett) Steed and brother Kerry Steed, sister Mary Annette (Jones) Bennett, wife of Robert, Debra (Roush) Bennett, wife of Robert and Carolyn (Poulsen) Dunn, wife of Gerald.

He is survived by wife Jenann (Dunn) Bennett, Children (Grandchildren): Shauna Demers of AZ, Brandy and Mike Jordan (Wyntre, Drake) of Sparks, NV, Tracy (Mastronardi) Goldstein (Hali Ann, Anthony and Adia) of Syracuse, UT, Kelley Bennett (Madison) and Samantha Potts of Millcreek, UT, Shea Bennett (Vincent, Quentin, Joaquin) of CO, Tim Anderson and Marites (Michael and Erica, Michelle and Zach) of Anaheim, CA, Troy Anderson and Laura (Brittnee and Mason, Cambria) of Willard, UT. Siblings: David Bennett and Joy of Willard, UT, Robert Bennett of Layton, UT, Brenda and Mike Bess of Brigham City, UT, Brothers and sisters: Donald Dunn and Stephen Kwan of Santa Monica, CA, Arlene Oyler of Tremonton, UT, Gerald Dunn of Brigham City, UT, and 9 great grandchildren.

A graveside service at Brigham Cemetery and a Celebration of Life at Beaver Creek Estates, Lot 131 will be scheduled for June. Details to be provided later.
