Cheri Ann King

Apr 29, 2024

Cheri Ann King passed away due to heart complications on April 15, 2024, in Ogden, Utah, at the age of 71. Born on August 25, 1952, in Provo, Utah, to Sterling King and Marian Duffin. Cheri’s life was a testament to love, laughter, and the joy of simple pleasures.

A proud graduate of Clearfield High School in 1970, Cheri carried the lessons learned and friendships made throughout her lifetime. Her professional life was characterized by her role as the Office Manager at numerous real estate companies, but landing her favorite place she called home at PPC Commercial in 2011, where she was affectionately known as the “Office Mom.” Cheri’s colleagues will fondly remember her as the heart of the workplace, always ready with a kind word, a funny joke, a listening ear, and always willing to keep her colleagues in line.

Cheri found happiness in the great outdoors, whether she was golfing with friends, camping under the stars, or traveling to new and exciting places. Her garden was a vibrance of color, with the gentle sound of wind chimes, which she adored. She loved her giant Christmas themed blow ups that lit up the front yard in the winter months. She also enjoyed evening talks on her back patio around a fire with Brad Sparks reminiscing about life. Her sense of humor was infectious, and her laughter was a cherished sound to all who knew her.

Although she faced the heart-wrenching loss of her beloved son, Paul Belnap, her spirit never faltered. She continued to be a source of strength and joy for her youngest son, Christopher Jacobsen (Shanell Jacobsen), her adored granddaughter Skylee Jacobsen, (Kachelle McEwen) and her cherished grandson Colten Belnap. Her family circle was lovingly expanded to include three bonus grandchildren, who she embraced with the same warmth and affection as her own.

Cheri was predeceased by her beloved father Sterling King, her mother Marian Duffin, and her son Paul Belnap. Their reunion is a comforting thought to those she leaves behind. As the sun sets on Cheri’s life story, her legacy continues to shine brightly through the lives of those she loved and the countless memories they hold dear. Her laughter, generosity, and her unwavering friendship will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Ogden Golf & Country Club May 17, 2024 from 6:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. 4197 S. Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT 84403. In Lieu Of Flowers, the family requests donations towards the burial plot and Headstone in the Cremation Garden at Leavitt’s Mortuary and Aultorest Memorial Park.
