L. Brent Castle
August 29, 1944 — August 11, 2024
Brent Castle, 79, of Ogden, Utah, passed away unexpectedly on August 11, 2024. Born in Logan, Utah, to Forrest and Claris Castle, Brent lived in various locations due to his father’s work. He graduated from Weber State College, served a mission for the LDS Church, and also served in the U.S. Army.
Brent married Marjorie Bond in 1968, and they had five children: Sterling (DeeDee), Spencer (Holly), Laurel (Tyler) DeGroot, Jennifer (Nyle) Critchlow, and Kristen (Travis) Dean. He enjoyed family activities, road trips, golfing, hunting and woodworking.
Active in the LDS Church, Brent served in numerous roles, including bishop and ordinance worker at the Ogden Temple. He is survived by his wife, children, 15 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Ron (Debby) Castle, his sister, Marti (Dennis) Warr, sister-in-law Vicki Castle-Smith, and sister-in-law Kathryn (Herb) Berkowitz. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Saxon, and sister-in-law, Sharyl Castle.
Viewing: Tuesday, Aug. 27, 6-8 pm at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden. Funeral: August 28, 2 pm at Eccles Park Ward 1029 26th St Ogden, with a viewing from 1:00-1:45 pm. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd, Ogden.
