Dianne Hanson Neff
Nov 11, 1950 — Dec 04, 2024
Mom was born and raised in Tremonton, Utah. Daughter of Lyle R. Hanson and Elva Barfuss Hanson. She married Wayne J. Neff in 1971. They later divorced after 14 years.
Our sweet mother passed away in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her two amazing daughters who did not leave her bedside for the last few weeks of her life.
Mom was blessed and baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She attended Young Women’s and graduated from seminary. Mom was amazing at the way she cared for and loved little children. In all of her church callings throughout the years, her most cherished was serving the primary children.
Mom grew up in Tremonton, Utah in a little house on Main Street with her parents and 5 siblings. Their home also served as a little town grocery store; they called “Lyle’s Grocery.” Mom, at this young age, learned the value of hard work. Everyone in town knew and supported this grocery store due to the amazing family who ran it.
Mom attended McKinley Elementary, Bear River Jr. High and graduated from Bear River High School in 1969.
She Graduated from Darrells College of Beauty in Salt Lake City in 1970. From there she worked at Auerbachs Salon in Ogden. Her family could always count on her talent for perms, cuts, and colors.
Later she did housekeeping at the Ogden Hilton Hotel. And then landed her employment at Cutter Lab, DelMed and retired from Fresenius after 30 years. She worked assembly line then switched over to janitorial, which she loved the work and all the friendships she made there.
On any given Saturday you could find mom in her yard mowing, trimming, raking leaves or sometimes in the canal cause she got a little too close to the edge
Mom’s greatest talent and accomplishments in life were her daughters and grandchildren. Everything she did or worked for was for them. Family was most important to her.
Mom, you are going to be missed so much by your friends, neighbors, co-workers and especially your 2 girls and grandchildren. It has been a honor being known as the “3 amigas”, “three musketeers,” and “the trio” with you. We not only had the best mom, but you were also our sister and our best friend!
Mom’s surviving family are her daughters Cindy Neff Orton (Curtis), and Jamie Neff Larsson (John). Grandchildren, Kris (Rylee) Orton, Kory (Gabi) Orton, Chloe (Garrett) Willis, Carson Orton, Kyle Orton, Kaden (Peri) Larsson, Josie (Mason) Huff, Trevor Larsson, Tessa Larsson. One great granddaughter Zaylee.
Mom is survived by her siblings Julie, LaVar, Laura (Craig), Todd (Tonya). And preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Elva, and one sister, Sheila
