Dannie K. Wilson

Dannie K. Wilson, 78, of Willard, Ut passed away at home in the early morning hours, cuddled up next to his sweetheart, on Monday February 5th, 2024. Dannie was born on August 29th, 1945, to George Williams and Emma Leah Wilson in Rigby, Idaho. He was the last of nine children. He joined the Army National Guard at 19 and served for 5 years then joined the reserves. He married Karen Bingham; they had two daughters. They were later divorced. He married Mary Jane Wilson in 1989 and added a daughter and two sons to his family. They were sealed March 23, 1996 in the Salt Lake Temple. He owned a dairy farm in Shoshone, Idaho and told many stories about his days running it. He later worked for the Defense Depot Ogden and Hill AirForce Base. When he retired from HAFB, he worked for the city of Willard as the water meter man, all the kids would see him coming and run to get a treat from him. He was a giant of a man in body and in heart. Dannie never met a stranger; he could strike up a conversation with anyone and soon become friends. He was a jokester and teaser, you never knew if he was being serious, he was that good. Dannie helped everyone, family, friends, neighbors, and strangers. He made sure we all knew he loved us “and he meant it” and often expressed gratitude for all his blessings, he required very few material things to be happy, give him a lake, a pole, his family and he was the happiest man alive. Dannie was preceded in death by his parents, eight siblings and one grandson. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Wilson. Five children, Jodie Valentine, Marcie Pentz, Jason (Stacy) Carter, Ryan Carter, and Kelli (Jeff) Hurst. Sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Bristol Hospice, especially “his girls” Nicole Eisenbarth and Bella Southwick.

A viewing will be held Friday February 9th from 6-8 PM and Saturday February 10th 9:30 to 10:30 AM followed by the Funeral at 11:00AM all at the Maguire Canyon Ward, (Willard Stake Center,) 840 W 8300 S, Willard Utah. Interment Washington Heights Memorial Park, Ogden Utah. Arrangements entrusted to Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT.
