Roy – Our beloved Bonnie Lou Bambrough Schoenfeld, 81, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.

Bonnie was born the first of two children on November 28, 1942, in Ogden, Utah to Lewis Orville Bambrough and Verna Ellen Russell Bambrough. She grew up in Roy. She attended Roy Elementary, Roy Jr High and graduated from Weber High in 1961. She also attended Weber State College and graduated in 1963 with an Associate’s Degree in Business. She enjoyed a 35-year career at America First Credit Union.

On August 25, 1965, she married her eternal sweetheart Frederick James Schoenfeld, Jr. in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They raised five children.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she served in many callings.

She is survived by her husband, brother Dee (Shelley) Bambrough, sister-in-law Kristine Day, sister-in-law Charlene Schoenfeld, children Andrea (Garon) Edstrom, Michael (Karen) Schoenfeld, Jason (MaryLee) Schoenfeld, Richard (Tiffany) Schoenfeld, Jennifer (Jacob) Unguren, 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, mother/father-in-law James and LaRue Schoenfeld, brother-in-laws David Schoenfeld and Alma Day, nephew Joel Day, and niece Brooke Bambrough.

The family wishes to thank the many loving people who cared for Bonnie. We extend a special thanks to the wonderful staff of Intermountain Health, Northern Utah Rehab, Stonehenge of Ogden, Sunridge Assisted Living of Roy, and Atlas Homecare & Hospice.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 29, 11 a.m with a viewing Sunday, January 28, 2024, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at 9:30 -10:45 a.m. prior to services. At Myers Mortuary 5856 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah.

Interment will be at the Roy City Cemetery, 5200 S 2300 W. Roy, Utah.

Bonnie was charitable in all things. In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be given to the LDS Perpetual Education Fund or your favorite charitable organization.
