Sarah “Sally” Wilbur Larson

1948 — 2024

Sarah “Sally” Anne Wilbur Larson, 75, passed away January 12, 2024, from complications of Wild TTR Amyloidosis. She was born in Ogden, Utah on January 26, 1948, to Blaine “Duff” and Anne Wilbur.

She loved learning. Sally graduated from Ogden High School, received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Sociology from Weber State College, and a Masters in Reading and Literature. She taught 1st and 2nd grade at Hillcrest Elementary for 16 years, where she loved the staff and students she worked with.

Sally married Grant Ralph Larson on June 20, 1968. She was a devoted wife and mother. She loved her family and would pray for each child, their spouses, and her grandchildren, by name, every night. She was a perfect example of patience, forgiveness, and optimism. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving many years as a scout and primary leader. She loved Jesus Christ and her faith in Him never wavered. Sally served many years as a scout and primary leader for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Sally loved reading, especially Harry Potter, puzzles and watching old musicals, cross stitch, tole painting and ceramics.

She is survived by her husband Grant; children Kathleen (Alan) Casey, Michael (Alena) Larson, Adam (Maria) Larson, John (Candace) Larson, Ruth (Brian) Schow, Paul (Jennifer) Larson, Daniel (Rebecca) Larson, Martha (Brandon) Wilson, Joy (Max) Chen, Luke (Suzanna) Larson, Thomas (Heather) Larson and Angela (John Ahlstrom; 47 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Applegate Hospice Care who loving cared for Sally and continues to care for her husband Grant.

Graveside services will be at 12 noon, Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 E. 2850 N., North Ogden, UT.
