James Nixdorf

1931 -2024
James Nixdorf, 92, passed away July 27, 2024, in Washington Terrace, Utah. He was born October 31, 1931, to Emil Nixdorf and Elsa Hein in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
He attended BYU in Provo and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the Army National Guard from 1954 to 1957. James lived in Jansen, Canada; Basel, Switzerland; Salt Lake City, Utah, Olathe, Kansas: Provo, Utah; Seattle, Washington and Ogden, Utah.
James married Yuvonne Alvey on November 21, 1956 in the Salt Lake Temple. Yuvonne preceded him in death on December 30, 2007. His hobbies were building houses, farming, mechanics, airplanes, the Military and Aliens.
James is survived by his daughters Diana Sykes and Karen Nixdorf, grandchildren Amyfaye Legarra, Angelene Hellstrom, Leslie Gneiting, Gary Sykes Jr, Katherine Chandler, and Heather Sykes; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; siblings Max Nixdorf and Betty Hehn.
Services for James will be Saturday, August 3, 2024, 10:00 a.m., with a viewing prior from 9:00 – 9:45 a.m., at North Ogden 8th Ward, 1150 East 2600 North, North Ogden, Utah. Interment will be at Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 East 2850 North, North Ogden, Utah.
