Mar 1, 2024

October 2, 1968 — February 26, 2024

Kelly Jean Clark, 55, our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed from this earthly life in the early morning of February 26, 2024, after her three-year battle with cancer. She was born on October 2, 1968, in Richland, Washington to Norman B. and Carole L. Smith. She lived in Richland, Washington for two years before she and her family moved to Washington Terrace. Kelly attended and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1986. She then moved to Logan and attended Utah State University for a year before moving back home and finishing her associate’s degree at Weber State College in 1990. She would later go on to finish her Bachelor’s Degree in Family Studies graduating in 2000. She met the love of her life roller skating at Classic Skating in Ogden in February of 1987, and they were married June 25, 1988, at the First Presbyterian Church in Ogden. They were later sealed in the Latter Day Saints Temple in Idaho Falls on December 6, 1991. Kelly and Mike have been married for 35 years. They moved to South Weber in 1990 and have been residents ever since.

To know Kelly was to love Kelly. She touched so many lives. When her kids were younger, she owned and ran an in-home daycare. She closed the daycare and then started working at Ogden-Weber Community Action Partnership. She started as a family advocate and then became a Head Start teacher. After working at OWCAP for 18 years, she retired in 2019. For the last five years, she had been able to take care of and love her five grandbabies.

Kelly was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served various callings. Kelly enjoyed all things music. In junior high and high school, she was in the marching band. She enjoyed playing the flute and piano and liked to sing and dance. Kelly also enjoyed scrapbooking, the outdoors, playing with her grandkids, swimming, journaling, and genealogy. Many depended on this wonderful woman and she will be deeply missed by many.

Kelly is survived by her husband, Michael Clark; two children, Amanda (Tim) Judd and Weston (Bailie) Clark; and five grandchildren, Aubree, Taislee, and Xander Judd, and Aniston and Bowden Clark.

The family expresses their gratitude to all of the wonderful nurses and doctors who took care of Kelly. Thank you to Community Nursing Services, Dr. Ormsby, and Dr. Call with Utah Cancer Specialists, Dr. Zendejas, and Dr. Kim with IHC, McKay Dee, Layton, and Intermountain Medical Center Emergency Departments, and the many others who took care of her during her cancer journey.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the South Weber Church located at 1814 E. 7775 S., South Weber.
