Carolyn M. Duncan

She was born in Pendleton, Oregon on June 12, 1938, to Harry D. And Selma Mytinger.

Carolyn’s father was in the Air Force. She got to live in many states. She came to Utah her senior year, graduating from Davis High School. She also graduated from Stevens Henager Business College as a secretary. One of her favorite jobs was being the secretary of the Police Chief Lemar Chard of Layton City in the early 1970’s. She retired from Clearfield Job Corp Center at the age of 77. She worked there for 40 years.

She married Jimmy Duncan, they later divorced. They had two beautiful children, Diane and Danny.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; Brother Daniel Mytinger and Son Danny Duncan.

Surviving family are her Daughter Diane (Eric) Holzinger, grandchildren Brandi (Dennis) Anstey, Tyler (Makenna) Holzinger and Morgan (Malik) Holzinger, eight grandchildren, Preslee, Josslyn, Maverick, Maci, Avacynn, Amiya, Elias, Olivia, and one on the way in June.

Her favorite things to do were shopping. She loved watching the Utah Jazz, she was their number one fan. She loved talking about sports. She loved the color purple. She was a big animal lover. She loved to golf and play bridge.

She was a member of Community United Methodist Church in Washington Terrace.

Her favorite saying was – Leave me the Hell alone!

Friends may visit with the family on Monday, March 25, 2024 from 6-8 pm, at Lindquist’s Syracuse Mortuary, 869 South 2000 West. Graveside services will be held on Wed., March 27 at 11 am at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
