Kent Omni Porter

Kent Omni Porter, 69, a resident of Layton, Utah, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, after a six-year battle with prostate cancer.

Kent was born in Ogden, Utah, on February 5, 1955, to Roger Porter and Gwenda Meyer. He was a graduate of both Ogden High and Weber State College. He served for three years in the US Navy.

He loved the outdoors, spending time with his family, and building various electronic projects.

Kent is survived by his five children, mother, four siblings, and four stepsiblings.

Kent was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Jean Porter; and his father.

Funeral services will be on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe. Rd.
