Roger Clyde England

Roger Clyde England, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2024. He was born on November 13, 1936, in Tooele, Utah, the sixth and youngest child of Moray and Violet England.

He met his wife, Gayle Walton, when he was 16, and they have been sweethearts ever since. He served a mission to the East Central States for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He and Gayle were married in the Salt Lake City Temple on March 6, 1959. Together, they nurtured a beautiful family, raising three daughters and one son: Kathryn (Jim), Thomas, David (Debbie), Pamela (Joe), and Kristine (Don) Bradshaw. Roger took immense joy in his expanding family, including 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, with more on the way, and even several grand dogs.

Roger loved the outdoors. Family vacations were filled with camping trips, fishing expeditions, and boating adventures. These outings usually included extended family and created cherished memories,

Roger was also a teacher and mentor to his children. He imparted invaluable life lessons through gospel discussions, emphasizing the importance of faith and integrity.

Roger served in the Marine Corps and was a Second Lieutenant in the Army; his professional endeavors led him to a successful career as a computer programmer at Tooele Army Depot, Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany, and Hill Air Force Base.

Roger served in numerous leadership roles within the church. He was passionate about family history work. One of his most cherished callings was serving as a temple ordinance worker in the Ogden temple.

Roger Clyde England will be remembered for his gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and profound love for his family.

A viewing will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 6-8 pm at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W. Roy, UT. Funeral Services on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Chapel, 4900 S. 2000 W., Roy, UT, With a viewing before the funeral service from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment Roy City Cemetery.
