Colleen Ann Doyle Bentley

Colleen Ann Doyle Bentley, 86, passed away on March 26, 2024, in her home. Colleen was born in Salt Lake City on June 5, 1937.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved learning new skills and improving her studies. Colleen believed in education and encouraged others to become educated.

Colleen was married to Robert (Bob) for 67 years. They had an adventurous life with the military moving them many times to many countries and throughout the US. Colleen stayed involved in Toast Masters as well as Boy and Girl Scouts. She loved to keep her home decorated for the season and always rearranged flowers for different occasions. Colleen enjoyed volunteering to help those in need, usually bringing them her professionally decorated cakes. She stayed active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings. Colleen and Bob served 3 missions: Spokane Washington, Cove Fort, and Inner-City Ogden.

Colleen is survived by her sisters, Joanne Willis and Sandra Wariner, and her children, Rebecca (Shane) Hepworth, Christine (James) Johnston, Lorri (Tyler) Jensen, Nathan (Heidi) Bentley, Zandrea (Todd) Call and 10 Grandchildren and 5 Greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, son Robert Jr., granddaughter Jenessa Jensen, and parents Zeda and Sherman Doyle.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 pm and on Monday April 1, 2024, at 9:30-10:30 am at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W., Roy, Utah. The funeral service will take place on Monday, April 1, 2024, at 11:00 am at the same location.

Mom always said, “If you don’t bring me flowers while I am living, don’t bring them when I’m dead.” In lieu of flowers Mom asked that you consider a donation to the American Diabetes Association, the LDS Education fund, or the LDS Missionary fund.
