Michelle Puzey

May 24, 2024

1968 – 2024

Roy- Michelle Puzey, 56, passed away unexpectedly on May 20, 2024. Michelle was born May 7, 1968, in Logan, UT, to Julie and Paul Puzey. She spent the first three years of her life in Germany, where her father was stationed for military service. The family eventually moved to Roy City, and two younger siblings joined the clan. Michelle graduated from Roy High School as a member of the class of 1986. She was involved in softball, volleyball, and student government during junior high and high school. After high school, she attended Weber State University. Academics came very naturally to Michelle. She loved learning and excelled in the classroom.

Michelle’s adventurous spirit led her to Nevada and eventually Phoenix, AZ, where she spent most of her adult life. She worked primarily as an office manager in the construction and motorcycle businesses. Her time in Arizona was filled with sunshine and cherished moments with her Arizona family, whom she loved dearly. With grace and resilience, Michelle journeyed through three chapters of love (with Shawn, Brian, and Scott), embracing the companionship in each union. Eventually, Michelle relocated to Utah to spend more time with family and her ailing mother. Shortly after her arrival, she reconnected with an old classmate, Dave Vigil, and discovered the warmth of friendship and love. Their relationship proves that sometimes, the most meaningful connections are found in unexpected places and times.

Michelle was the life of the party. If she knew you, she loved you–no questions asked. She had a heart of gold and greeted you with a monster hug and kiss on the cheek. Michelle’s vibrant personality infused joy and laughter into every room she entered. Her quick wit, infectious energy, and zest for life were contagious. She loved music, but especially hard-rocking hair bands. Michelle accepted people where they were in life, always bringing a sense of warmth and understanding. We will miss her beautiful blue eyes and compassionate and caring spirit.

Michelle is survived by her father Paul Puzey; sister, Kathy; brother Mike (Michelle Raye); nephews (Conner, Carsen, JJ); and niece (Ava). She is also survived by her fiancé, Dave Vigil, and beloved dog, Jaecee, Dave’s son Logan (Korie), and their two girls (Ari & Olivia), who called her Mimi. Michelle was preceded in death by her mother, Julie Puzey.

A celebration of Michelle’s life will take place on Thursday, May 30, from 6- 8 pm at the Roy Hope Center, 5051 S 1900 W, Roy, UT. The dress is casual. In honor of Michelle, feel free to wear your favorite band or concert t-shirt! A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 31, at 11:00 am MST at the West Haven Cemetery, 1550 S 2350 W, West Haven, UT.
