Nov 12, 2024

November 21, 1930 — October 17, 2024

Pauline Marie Bambrick, 93, passed away October 17, 2024, at home with her family from cardiac arrest after several months on Hospice.

Pauline loved God and had a special devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Her love for family was steadfast. Though tiny in stature, Pauline was a powerhouse of faith, generosity, and compassion. Her heart was big, and it overflowed with love. She influenced many lives with her heartfelt prayers and generosity for family, friends and strangers alike.

Pauline was born on November 21, 1930, to Mary Richardson Hebben and Louis Hebben in Detroit, Michigan. Pauline was the second oldest of six children.

Pauline attended St. John Berchmans Dominican All-Girls High School where she played field hockey, basketball, and volleyball, plus served as an official basketball referee. She also studied for a pilot’s license and served in the Civil Air Patrol.

Pauline’s father introduced her to Robert W. Bambrick at a Knights of Columbus event. That introduction led to a beautiful & champagne-and-hamburger love story with 66+ years of happiness and adventure. Bob and Pauline married January 29, 1955, in Detroit and moved to Brigham City when Bob was hired by Thiokol Corp. in 1961.

Pauline embraced motherhood, guiding her family to God’s love and service. She was spunky, with a sweet giggle and witty humor. She was an exceptional baker and well-known for her homemade bread and myriad cookie delights at Christmas. Pauline enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and playing cribbage. She was an adventurist, who enjoyed family camping, hiking, cross-country skiing and road trips across the United States. And, she loved to dance.

Pauline was very active at St. Henry Catholic Church and later at St. James in Ogden. She was recognized as Woman of the Year at both parishes for her faithful service. She taught Catechism and took Communion to the sick for 20+ years, cared for migrant children, and served as an officer in the Catholic Women’s League at local and state levels. Pauline also served by Deacon Bambrick’s side for 44 years supporting his ministry and service to God.

Pauline was a community volunteer for many years. She served as a PTA officer, Girl Scout leader, assistant Cub Scout leader, Brigham City Hospital X-Ray Department assistant, and Hospice patient visitor.

Pauline and family are grateful for the personal and compassionate support from Melissa Pratt, Jessica McNeely, Fyre Garcia, Brett Stringham, Jason Bohman, and CNS team.

She is survived by her children: Mary Bambrick (ID), Anne and Kory Yelderman (MO), Louise and Denny Schwartz (UT), Robert and Caroline Bambrick (CA), and Paul and Alison Bambrick (UT). She is also survived by her brothers George Hebben, David Hebben, and Richard Hebben. Pauline loved her 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband Deacon Robert W. Bambrick, one son Joseph, brother Paul Richardson, and sister Elizabeth Marcus.
