Roger “Duce” Wade Williams II

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear family friend, Roger “Duce” Wade Williams II, who left us on November 15, 2024. He was 49 years old, and passed away peacefully in Abraham, Utah. Born on November 27, 1974 in Ogden, Utah. Roger brought joy and adventure to everyone around him. He grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ben Lomond High School.
Roger loved helping people. He became a Youth Counselor at a Youth Rehabilitation Program in Marysvale, UT, and recently at the White River Boy’s Academy in Delta, UT. He loved his job and the kids he worked with. He was a great example of one’s ability to take a positive path to a better life.
A true outdoors enthusiast, he had a deep passion for fishing, hunting, and camping. Whether casting a line in a serene lake or navigating the wild trails, he found a sense of peace and happiness in nature that resonated with all who knew him. Roger had a love for the Las Vegas Raiders and the Utah Utes. His unwavering loyalty to these teams brought joy and excitement not only to his life but to all those fortunate enough to share in his enthusiasm. Roger made every moment memorable with his vibrant spirit and infectious laughter.
With a warm smile and a generous heart, Roger was always eager to share stories of his latest fishing trips or the big catch he had landed. His enthusiasm for the great outdoors inspired many to appreciate the beauty of nature and the thrill of exploration.
Survived by his canine fur babies: Rowdy, Sarah and Nova; family: Larry & Heather Woodruff family, Jason & Kylee Huntsman family; sisters: Delilah Williams (Charlie Stenerson), Billie Leggett, Connie (Alan) Crow, Sandra (Jim) Humphries; many loving nieces and nephews; all of whom will carry forward their love for the wilderness. Preceded in death by parents; Roger W Williams Sr, Kay Williams; sister; Patricia Williams.
Celebration of his Life will be set at a later time, where all may share their cherished memories and honor his adventurous spirit. Roger will be deeply missed, but the memories of his laughter, adventures, and the joyous moments spent together will always remain in our hearts.
