She married her sweetheart Ray Neil Bybee on May 18, 1957, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was the last of her siblings to get married so, according to Clara Dean, her mother and three of her friends drove down from Boise, Idaho, to make sure they got the job done! Clara Dean and Ray celebrated 61 years together until Ray’s passing in 2018.

She was the last of five children and was spoiled according to her siblings. She graduated from Preston high school in Idaho where she was fondly known as “Red” because of her beautiful auburn hair and cheery smile.

She enjoyed traveling with Ray and cherished her family, friends and cat, Dot. She had a fun sense of humor and loved to refer to herself as “a high class broad from Mink Creek, Idaho”. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by children: Shawn Bybee (Jeff) Niemeyer, Doug Bybee and stepson Kim Bybee: two grandchildren, Grayson (Jordan) Niemeyer and Shay Niemeyer and two great grandchildren, Daphne Niemeyer and Fisher Niemeyer.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Neil Bybee, by her parents, her sisters, Molly, Myrtle, Ardice and her brother Lee.

The family would like to express appreciation to the CNS Hospice team, especially Jason, Misti, Fyre and Liz and the staff at Maple Springs for the wonderful and compassionate care given to Clara Dean.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 28, at 11:30 a.m. at Iron Gate Grill, 960 East 700 South, Brigham City. A visitation will be held prior to the Celebration of Life Gathering from 11:00 – 11:30 a.m. at Iron Gate Grill.

Interment in the Columbarium at the Brigham City Cemetery.
