Saundra was born January 11, 1939 along with her twin sister Sonja, to Rulon William and Sarah Garr Scott in Provo, Utah.
She grew up in Morgan, Utah, and said it was a wonderful place to grow up. She loved playing night games and sleeping out under the stars in the summer.

Saundra married her eternal sweetheart, Geary S. Mecham in the Salt Lake Temple on June 21, 1957. They made their home in North Ogden.
She worked as a secretary for our dad’s construction company, Mecham Brothers, for many years.
Saundra is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. She especially loved teaching primary and the primary children. She and Geary served a mission to Adam-ondi-Ahman from 2004-06.
She enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, tole painting, crafting, home decorating, and jewelry making.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, supporting her family in their various activities.
Saundra is survived by her children: Teresa (David) Cook, Geary Scott (Cindy), Valarie Bingham, Rodney Lee (Nicole); 15 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren; her sister, Peg Robins; and her sister in-law, Ruth Scott.
