Neal William Stephenson

Neal William Stephenson was born in Salt Lake City, UT, on the 17th of June, 1940, and was called to his eternal home on the 31st of July, 2025. A creative soul, he was known for his resilience and his unwavering reliability. Neal had a love for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and had a testimony of his Savior. He had a strong love for his family and his dog, Brea, and cherished his time spent in the serenity of Tibble Fork.
A talented individual, Neal showed his skills in various walks of life. He attended the University of Utah. He enjoyed a variety of different careers but enjoyed his time working as a financial advisor most. Neal was a talented artist who enjoyed creating beautiful pen & ink drawings. His love for the outdoors was evident in his hobbies, which included camping and woodworking. Neal also had a deep love for reading. He was proud to have served on the Ski Patrol and as a medical paratrooper in the Air National Guard. Neal was happy to serve in the Bishopric and Elder’s Quorum and was a diligent minister to his fellow ward members.
Neal was an accomplished individual, having achieved the Eagle Scout rank. Neal was proud to have run his own office supply business. Neal’s life was indeed a great work that touched many lives and left an indelible imprint on those fortunate to have known him. He was always optimistic and upbeat about life and didn’t complain, even when times were difficult.
Neal is survived by his sons, Jeffrey(Terry Lynn), Brandon(Heather), Mark(Carey),and Ryan Stephenson, and by his daughter, Kristin Stephenson, 12 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, William Stephenson, and mother, Marian Fratello.
A viewing will be held for Neal on Saturday, 09 Aug 2025 at 10:00am MDT at Myers Mortuary – Ogden, 845 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah, 84404. The graveside service will follow at 12:00pm MDT at Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 North Monroe Boulevard, Ogden, Utah, 84404.
