Nathan C. Wheeler
Nathan C. Wheeler, 99, of Perry, Utah, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Nathan leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, and love.
Born May 7, 1926, in Stone, Idaho, to Nathan Andrew Wheeler and Sarah Lily Allen Wheeler, Nathan moved to Perry at age 13, where he spent the remainder of his life. He graduated from Box Elder High School and served in the United States Army. After his military service, he attended Weber College and later worked at Hill Air Force Base for 25 years. Alongside his beloved wife Melba, he also ran Wheeler Realty while raising their family.
Nathan married Melba Fielding on November 10, 1949, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising four children: Janice Hadley (Robert), Julie Oman (Ralph), Douglas Wheeler (Pauli), and Devon Nathan Wheeler (deceased). Nathan was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Nathan served faithfully in numerous callings. He and Melba also served as full-time missionaries in the Kenya Nairobi Africa and California Ventura Missions, and as summer missionaries in Nauvoo, Illinois.
Nathan will be remembered for his strong work ethic, kind heart, love of travel, and his unbeatable skills in a game of Hand and Foot. Above all, he was a man who put family and faith first.
He is preceded in death by his son Devon and other beloved family members. He is survived by his wife Melba, three children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

More than anything, Nathan will be remembered for the kind of man he was: humble, patient, loyal, and deeply rooted in family and faith. He didn’t seek attention, but he made an unforgettable impact. His example will continue to guide and inspire his family for generations to come.
