Cathie Marie Child passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family and loved ones on August 21, 2025. Cathie was 76 years old.

Cathie was a successful Therapist/Social Worker. She worked for Valley Mental Health in West Valley City and retired from Weber Human Services in Ogden, Utah.

Cathie is survived by her beloved husband Stan Child, her children Joseph Melfi, Jenna Melfi, Tyrell Child, and Kresta Child Wilcox (Brad Wilcox), her seven grandchildren, Bohdi Child, Naomi Child, Zailey Wilcox, Jaxton Wilcox, Lucas Wilcox, Sebastian Argentine, Aiden Argentine, and her brothers Rick Kone and Rob Kone.
